Hannon was fortunate enough to make the Mary Immaculate College senior hurling squad while he was a student there. On February 27, 2016, he reached a significant milestone when Mary I won the Fitzgibbon Cup for the first time with a 1-30 to 3-22 victory in double overtime over the University of Limerick.
Hannon finished with the game’s most goals despite being taken off in the 79th minute. Louise, host of Today FM and TG4, wore a white, floor-length gown with a V-neck and a striking feather accent.
Louise wore elegant, similarly coloured long gloves with her dress. Her hair was pulled into a chic bun, and she accessorized the look with a stunning white veil. Her sisters served as bridesmaids, and they all wore sage green gowns with feather accents.
Guests were greeted by the happy couple as they emerged from the church into the bright sunshine and warm temperatures (up to 28 degrees Fahrenheit). There were as many as fifty people waiting outside the church to see the newlyweds as they emerged as husband and wife, many of them American tourists.
At the church entrance, the groom and his undefeated Limerick hurling team stood for photos looking dapper in black tuxedos and dark sunglasses.
